Any information found on this website is strictly for educational and informational use only and is not at all intended to recommend treatment or diagnose disease or medical conditions. If you have a medical issue, you should seek the counsel of a qualified medical practitioner, doctor or physician.
We do not advocate one treatment over another or recommend that you take health matters in your own hands by self-diagnosing any condition or treating yourself without the benefit of checking with a doctor first.
With that said, there are plenty of documented studies and plenty of scientific research pointing to the benefits of natural medicine and plant based or plant derived products that can help to alleviate or eliminate symptoms of certain conditions.
There are clinical studies that have been done throughout the world on such things as Vitamin C, Aloe Vera and dozens of other botanical products. The medicinal properties of raw Garlic have been known for centuries as well as the anti-bacterial properties of honey, which has been used in biblical times for a wound healing agent.
Western medicine has helped save lives and many traditional treatments are vital and necessary to a person's health. However, there may be limitations to conventional treatments for cancer like chemotherapy and radiation. While I do not say that there is a cure for certain types of cancers, there are those people who have used alternative treatments like hyperbaric oxygen chambers and ozone therapy to help rid themselves of cancer. Why some studies have shown that hyperbaric oxygen therapy has helped stroke victims and those suffering from multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy.
Here are some sad facts of Alternative Medicine in the US:
The FDA promotes only pharmaceutical drugs and has a decades-long record of not approving, or even looking at, anything alternative. Again, this is the way of the world and you must face it.
In medical lawsuits, well-meaning but misinformed juries rule against doctors unless they've used conventional drugs, surgery and radiation.
Doctor's malpractice insurance won't cover them if they use "unapproved" alternatives.
Their state medical boards may fine them heavily, suspend their license to practice or even revoke it.
The FDA may do the same and confiscate patient records and medical equipment.
Doctors may lose their right to see their patients in hospitals.
Yet, to this day, thousands upon thousands of people stricken with all kinds of serious medical conditions have felt the inadequacy of traditional or conventional medicine and have sought out alternative treatments, whether they be approved by the AMA or FDA.
Whether it is Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic or Holistic Medicine, there are other therapies and natural approaches to diseases and many of them work better than the recommended protocols and without many of the harmful side effects.

Take a hot bath and rest. When you’re resting, make sure to wear an eye mask and that no noise will disturb you. If you want, you could listen to ambient music while relaxing and if there’s a smell you like(like lavender) have something around with that smell.
caffine.
massage your temples lightly
Get off the computer.
Feverfew works great, and it’s available at any discount store or pharmacy for just a few dollars.
change your diet, maybe try a new bed and pillows, get an allergy test. change your lifestyle. Drink more water……
apple cider vinegar!!!
go online and read about it!

I get headaches a lot, too. The only way I can get them to stop is by taking something like Tylenol. If you go to sleep, that might help for you (it doesn’t work for me though–I wake up and it’s still there!). Good luck!
U may be really over stressed… I would take some time to urself.. take a long hot bath with candles, maybe some soft music.. and just relax
goodluck
Your headaches could be a result of vertebra out of place. That is usually a common problem. Go see a chiropractor and I bet the headache goes away.
I use a icepack behind my neck while a lay across the couch!!!!Good luck!
According to my doctor, most people get headaches because they do not drink enough water. He said the water you take with asprin may acually be what makes your headache go away.
That would depend on the headache. I have migraines and there is nothing but meds to help. However, have you had your eyes checked recently? That might help. It is just really hard to say without knowing what kind of headaches you have.
Frozen peas applied to your head. Just buy a couple bags of frozen peas to keep handy as an ice pack. One to use and the other as a back up if the first one doesn’t completely do the job. I suffer from migraines periodically and the frozen pea trick works pretty well for me. Good luck!
My cousin and I use aromatheraputic jars for our minor headaches to migraines. Also rest helps. Feel better.
There could be a ton of possible causes for your headaches: you may need glasses, you may have allergies, you may not be eating enough of something, you may have just quit caffeine, stress, something in the air, migranes…the list of possibilities goes on.
You say "besides medicine" is there something else – do you mean aspirin/ibuprofen? Have you tried something if it’s allergies (eg. Claritin or Benadryl)? If it’s for something like stress or allergies and you want to avoid medicine, you may want to try acupuncture. I always thought it was ridiculous — until I tried it. It actually helped me with a food sensitivity that was giving me cold-like symptoms.
You can also try massaging your temples, relaxing in a cool, dark place for a few minutes, an ice pack etc., but I think you need to find out what’s causing them first – it may be something as simple as you need glasses or a new prescription.
Good luck!
In their book, Heal Your Headache: the 1-2-3 Program for Taking Charge of Your Pain, by David Buchholz and Stephen G. Reich M.D. state that all headaches are variations of the same thing. We’ve just decided categorize them into different headings based on how they manifest themselves.
Although they’ve had great success altering diet to fix headaches, I’ve had great success at correcting musculoskeletal causes of neck pain and headaches. It turns out it’s quite simple for most people. This is outlined in my book, Fixing You: Neck Pain & Headaches.
Because of this and other items I’ve read, I believe that headaches are a threshold phenomenon. What I mean by this is above a certain threshold of stress, we experience headaches. Three of the stresses that can cause us to break this threshold are dietary, musculoskeletal, and psychological.
Some people are more sensitive to certain stresses than others. Keeping any one or all three of these stressors under control seems to relieve all types of headaches. I’ve also posted two tests for neck pain and headaches on YouTube if you’re interested.
