Have your kids ever been in the room when an erectile dysfunction or male enhancement commercial comes on?
And have you ever had to explain to them exactly what the commercial is about? I was watching a long and almost erotic commercial about "male enhancement" on cable TV and was wondering what parents do when their kids inquire about it? Do you explain what it means or do you just hurriedly change the subject (and the channel)? Aren’t these commercials a little too suggestive for public television?

The last time I was in the room watching tv with my father and a ED Commercial came on… All we could say was "I can’t believe they raped an elvis song like that!"
I’m 17 and I remember probably 2 years ago when I was at a friend’s house watching something and her parents were in the room one of those came on. She even asked them what it was, I guess they are closer than I thought, because I couldn’t even picture putting myself in that position.
It was the most awkward thing for me, knowing what it is, and having her parents just talk about it freely. Oh man, good times. But those still come on when I’m in my own house, it’s awkward.
i have always told my kids anything they asked. you can’t hide LIFE from kids. what about tampon and douche commercials? they don’t need you to lie to them!
Depends on the age of the child.
If the child is old enough to formulate the question, they are old enough to receive SOME form of an answer.
It doesn’t have to be detailed.
Just say something like, "It is something Mommy’s and Daddy’s use when they get married."
Nuf said.
And YES… They ARE very suggestive… They are supposed to play them AFTER prime time if I am not mistaken.
