i just feel better on probiotics. i can’t say specifically what feels better just better in general.
I didn’t do any pills (of course, I love dairy), but I frequently use DanActive. It really helps if you have intestinal issues–will help get you regular, if you will. I would imagine it helps you overall (immunity if impaired) but couldn’t swear to that. Promise makes something like that as well. I am sure there are others.
A good thing about DanActive is it’s a 4-pack, so you’re not shelling out a fortune if it doesn’t work for you.
Probiotics are a BIG part of your immune system. They’ll help keep you healthy – everything from not getting common colds, to not getting the stomach flu. Probiotics help us digest our food better, and get more nutrition out of it. If you have stomach upsets or bad gas, you may notice them go away. Probiotics can be found in lots of things – not just dairy! Kombucha is a fizzy tea with probiotics (and it’s particularly good for getting rid of yeast infections). Miso paste is an Asian seasoning that’s full of good probiotics. There is also soy yogurt or goat milk yogurt if you have dairy problems.
Freespyr – you’re absolutely correct. Probiotics are indeed thought to be a BIG part of not only human immune systems, but really every living, walking creature on earth. They are the good bacteria which eat the nutrients of the bad resulting in overall better health.
