Does God accept me the way I am now or does he expect perfection?
I always thought that he expected us to NOT sin at all and be perfect for him and I honestly don’t think this is too much too ask for since he IS GOD after all. I mean it isn’t realistically achievable, but everyone should try their very best to please God. Anyways… I just heard a song that says God loves and accepts me the way I am. Is this true? Does he not expect perfection because he knows we cant achieve it or is it both? Can he accept us EXACTLY as we are AND expect us to not sin at all and do everything right? How is that possible though? ><.
Oh also, does God not like it when you ask him for things in prayer? Like I’ve been asking him to help me believe in him, (i think this is ok since my pastor advocated this) but ive also been asking him for other things. Yesterday I prayed and I asked him to help me not have insomnia anymore and not be so afraid of not being able to sleep. And I also asked him to help get over my depression and protect my family and friends and other people. And I think I also asked for other stuff too… Should I feel guilty for this? After all, it IS selfish because God isn’t there so people can ask him for things. His sole purpose is not to support people! Then he would just be like Santa Claus. I think… I’m not sure… it is our purpose to do everything according to the Bible. Basically, follow his instructions and have faith in him and understand and spread the knowledge that Jesus died for our sins. Am I wrong? Please correct me if I am.Please quote the bible if you do. I don’t trust random information.

God loves us just the way we are.
But He hates our sins that separate us from Him.
So He sent His Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but receive eternal life.
So when we receive Jesus shed blood for atonement for our sins, by confessing with our mouth Jesus Christ our Lord & Savior while believing in our heart He raised from the dead, we will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness (Christ Righteousness). When we are redeemed, we are made the righteousness of Christ. And the Father hears our prayers, because He sees Christ Righteousness in us.
And with the mouth one confesses unto Salvation (Yeshua).
The whole problem of trying to be perfect is that we all fail. And God so loved us while we were lost in our tresspasses & sins that He sent His Son. This is the will of the Father, that none should perish, but all come to repentance and to be saved.
When we are born of Gods Spirit & cleansed by His Blood, our spirituality is birthed, but our body still has sin nature in it. So we will still sin again.
That is why when we sin in the Light of Christ, we feel convicted in our spiritual soul. And we confess our sin & He Is faithful & just to forgive us our sin & cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
And also without faith, it is impossible to please God. For those who come to God must believe God Is and He is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him.
And Jesus also said to cast all our cares to Him for He cares for us.
So since you asked God for faith to believe in Him, Look up & receive it. Receive it in His Word. Renew your mind in Gods Word. Be spiritually renewed in the Spirit of God. Once you know God has heard your request, then you have received it; Then you thank God for faith in His Word. And you do this by praying Gods Promises. God is faithful. He is not man that He should let us down.
Trust in the Lord with all of your heart & lean not on your own understanding. Acknowledge the Lord in all of your ways, and He shall set your path straight.
God likes it when we make mistakes. So then we can come to Him in prayer about it. And we can have some personal one on one time with our heavenly Father.

There is a verse that the Lord gives sleep to His children. So claim that. Pray to God at bed time until you doze off. Casting all your cares to Him.
Trust God to give you joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength. And put on the garment of praise to overcome the spirit of depression (heaviness).
Pray for your family until you get the OK in your spiritual soul that everything will be all right. Plead the blood of Jesus over you & yours.
Feeling guilty is the devil tempting you to doubt who your are in Christ. The problem is then when you doubt Gods love for you, etc… then the devil gets more power over you. So start getting into Gods word & take authority over the devils accusations against you. God has promised to never leave or forsake us. He has promised that no one, including ourself can take us out of His hands.
The Holy Spirit convicts us when we do wrong. Where we confess our sin to the Lord. When the devil condemns, it brings depression and no way out. And there isn’t any way out if we don’t trust in the Lord our God.
Every perfect & pure gift comes down from the Father of Lights. And Jesus said that if we ask God for the Holy Spirit, He will give the Holy Spirit to us. And the gifts are very assorted spiritual gifts.
Our purpose is to find our rest in Christ. This is entering Gods Rest, when our hearts are restored to the heart of God. Because then we love God for what He has done for us. In all things we do we do as unto the Lord. For our reward is with Him. To try to do everything according to the bible isn’t practical. Not very spiritual either. Because we follow after the leading of the Holy Spirit over the written word. We are not under the law of sin & death. We are under the Grace of God. Grace is unmerited favor. And Grace is the free gift of God.
Who is he who overcomes? He who is born of God. What is our victory? Our faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.

Uworte:
Basically, follow his instructions and have faith in him and understand and spread the knowledge that Jesus died for our sins. Am I wrong? Please correct me if I am.Please quote the bible if you do. I don’t trust random information.
I write:
I agree with that. Your not wrong.
god loves you unconditionally!
don’t get me started on organized religion……*shakes fist*
Perfection. Everyones screwed.
He likes you just the way you are. Imperfect and perfect are concepts humans create.
he normally doesnt listen much till AFTER ppl repent. Then you do your best..ive had answers alot more since conversion.. No those prayers are fine. Consider repenting. Santa doesnt breathe. God does live!!
I think he wants to try our best to avoid misbehaving
god expects you to do the same thing he does and thats to not exist lol
There is no god.
Stop worrying and enjoy your life.
He expects you to be perfect other wise he will smite you. Think of it this way, "WWJD" he was perfect and he wants you to follow his ways so you must be perfect.
christians believe that they are created by god? so you are exactly the way you are supposed to be, as long as you repent
He expects you to repent of sin and evil in your life.
Loving his kingdom of love means hating sin!
Read Luke 11.
Seems like you need to experience the Holy Spirit!
Ask Jesus and he will send Him to You!
"Please quote the bible if you do. I don’t trust random information."
FACEPALM.
enjoy your life like everyone else
Come as you are but be renewed by the transforming your mind.
both He expects perfection thats why He gave the ten commandments and we were suppose to follow them to a T…. however He knows we cant be and therefore sent Jesus to us as a propitiation for our sins..
You decide.
GOD DOES NOT EXPECT PERFECTION. He loves you how you are he is giving you the option to love him or not. He does not care about what your face looks like how much the clothes on your back cost or anything you have. He does not expect perfection Also sometimes there are reasons he doesnt answer your prayers maybe he hasnt because he wants to give you more time to think about him. If it is time he will answer your prayers unless he doesnt think needed.
Yes and yes. He accepts you as you are, worthless sinner irredeemable that you are, and expects you to be as sinless as Christ, which he provides through Christ.
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8:1-4
well, Jesus did say to be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect. So that tells me he expects perfection. I also believe he doesn’t expect you to be perfect all by yourself. It takes salvation and God’s help.
He loves you just the way you are. You can’t achieve perfection. Also, its ok to ask him for things like help protecting my family and stuff like that. I don’t see what’s wrong in asking him to help you sleep. Just have faith and don’t listen to people who don’t believe like the girl who said "don’t get me started on organized religious beliefs…" or something like that, cause like the bible says, "forgive them father for they don’t know what they do." (something like that).
Does God accept me the way I am now or does he expect perfection?
your question is what you think inside your brain..but since your stuck this is what our god ( as in who we think our god is) wants:
he wants us to follow his rules obey him and KNOW he is the ONE and ONLY god he said you can have fun party but follow my rules you can do that and follow his rules sure if you do one thing he said not to do but you can ALWAYS pray for forgiveness god is not evil he gives mercy what ever you do that i bad and you pray for forgivness god will accept it.
Once you accept Christ into your life, you are always his and will spend eternity in Heaven versus, enteral damnation in h ell. Yes, we should always try and do the right thing to please him as any child would want to please their Father, but we know that we can’t be perfect as only HE was perfect. When we sin, we should ask forgiveness and strength to be wiser and not commit that sin again. Is it a get out of jail free card? No, he will correct you, but it will make it stronger.
The way to begin, read John 3:16 and truely mean and feel it.
A. Both. God expects perfection, and we are imperfect because we sin. However, he takes us as we are, making us whole again when we accept Christ. As Christians, we should love God and try to obey Him. Luckily, grace always covers our imperfections.
B. Sure you can ask for things in prayer. The Bible is full of examples of that, including Jesus’ own examples. He’s not Santa Claus – but He is your Heavenly Father who cares for you more than anything…so He is concerned with what concerns you. And part of a good relationship is honesty – so honestly tell Him what’s on your heart. Of course, asking for millions of dollars or something like that would probably not be in accordance with God’s will – but what you’ve shared seems to be genuine and to be circumstances that may be difficult for you. God wants to hear what’s on your heart.
Oh, and just another addition – our purpose can be summed in one phrase – to love God and to be loved by Him. Isn’t that wonderful? Everything else is a response to God’s love.
God loves us no matter what our faults, and because he loves us he wants us to try our best to be righteous. It is not selfish to ask God for help doing things as long as you are willing to work. For example, if you needed money, you might ask God to help you as you search for a job; you wouldn’t ask him for $1,000,000 and then sit around playing video games all week.
There is now way a human can be perfect god created problems and obsticals for us so that we can learn and grow from our mistakes. There is no problem with praying about things but don’t forget to thank god for everything he has blessed you with
no we are sinful and God does not support are sinfulness
So no he does not accept that we rebel against him.
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
accepting us as we are means when we come to him for salvation he receives us as we are sinners and changes us to be sinless pure by salvation.
Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
yes God wants us to pray to him if we belong to God.
God does not hear our prayers if we doubt him or do not have salvation.
The only prayer he hears of the lost is to be saved and invite him into your heart.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
rules for praying
John 9:31 Now we know that God hears not sinners: but if any man be a worshiper of God, and does his will, him he hears.
James 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Mat 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
Mat 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
It makes me sad tht ur nt sure if God loves u even tho u r nt perfect. It says n the Bible tht no1 or nothin is perfect except 4 God himself. Therefore we r all way off frm perfection…..he loves us bcuz we r his children. Askn God 2 help u wit ur condition is perfectly fine. Also n the Bible God asks tht u come 2 him wit every prob u have. So keep askn 4 his help n hopefully he will answer ur prayer. Never give up on him tho cuz he may b testin ur faith. Also i ask him 2 b wit my family n i dnt believe there is anythin wrong wit tht. Please email me if u ever need 2 talk. Good luck gurl n i will pray 4 u!
Perfection is a goal we should work towards. It’s in the Bible, Matthew 5:48, TLB. "But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect."
Perfection is a process of listening, learning, and growing with the help of Jesus. It’s in the Bible, Colossians 1:28, TLB. "So everywhere we go we talk about Christ to all who will listen, warning them and teaching them as well as we know how. We want to be able to present each one to God, perfect because of what Christ has done for each of them."
Perfection will be completed in us when Jesus comes. It’s in the Bible, Jude 24-25, TLB. "And now—all glory to Him who alone is God, who saves us through Jesus Christ our Lord; yes, splendor and majesty, all power and authority are His from the beginning; His they are and His they evermore shall be. And He is able to keep you from slipping and falling away, and to bring you, sinless and perfect, into His glorious presence with mighty shouts of everlasting joy."
God loves you and accepts you the way you are. But He wants to save us FROM ours sins, not IN our sins. (look at the Lord’s prayer)
How far was God willing to go to guarantee a future for me? It’s in the Bible, John 3:16, TLB. "For God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son so that anyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
God loves you so much and He wants to have a relationship with him. Pray for everything that you need and want. Also, read the Bible to hear His answers. That’s how we build a relationship.
You’re right, nobody can live a perfect life. God knows this, which is why he sent Jesus to suffer and die for the sins of humanity. Jesus took God’s wrath that we deserved so that we could be freed from the condemnation that comes with sin. It’s up to us to make the decision to follow Him and accept that gift He gave us. After that it is still impossible to live perfectly, but God grows you in holiness and you desires and habits will change. It becomes easier to live a holy life, although it is stil not perfect.
It is not bad to ask God for things. God loves us and wants us to talk to Him and ask Him for things. But we need to make sure the things we’re asking for line up with the Bible and His will. For example: asking God to take away your fear and insomnia is good – asking to become rich and famous or something like that is probably not.
Thank God that He accepts us just as we are and it is He the Holy Spirit who does the purifying and refining that convicts us of our sins and takes them away.
You must read God’s Holy Word, the Bible because it renews our minds daily.
It teaches us that "Perfect love casts out fear, because fear has torment" Read 1 John 4:16-18 Christ is perfect love.
You need to learn Scripture like "If Christ be for you who can be against you," or "no weapon formed against me shall prosper." These Scriptures renew the mind daily and they are weapons against the devil. My favorite, "He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world." Jesus left us the Holy Spirit and when we believe on Him, the Holy Spirit is freely given to us.
Try this for the insomnia, "you spirit of insomnia, you have no part in me, and I bind you in Jesus’ name and loose peaceful sleep into my nights in Jesus’ name. Spirit of insomnia you must leave and leave now, you have no part in me, I am a child of God and in the name of Jesus Christ I command you to be gone.
Don’t let fear into your head. Fight it with Scriptures.
First, we have to believe that God will answer our prayers. “He that approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him.”—Hebrews 11:6.
Then our prayers must really be directed to God in sincerity. Does that sound strange? Yet Jesus warned: “When you pray, you must not be as the hypocrites; because they like to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the broad ways to be visible to men. Truly I say to you, They are having their reward in full.” (Matthew 6:5) So, long, resonant prayers offered in public in order to impress listeners do not impress God. He does not hear such prayers.
Again, we should not approach God demanding recognition. God hears the prayers of humble people who want to do what is right and who acknowledge their sinfulness.—Luke 18:9-14; 1 Peter 3:12.
Is any special posture necessary when we pray? In the Bible record, God’s servants adopted different positions when praying; yet their prayers were heard. Some kneeled; others stood. Nehemiah prayed while he was standing before the king of Persia. Jonah cried out from the belly of a huge fish, and it would be difficult to say what position he was in at that time. (Daniel 6:10; 1 Kings 8:22; Nehemiah 2:1-5; Jonah 2:1, 2) So while we may wish to adopt a position that will help us to concentrate, the important thing is to have a sincere desire to approach God in prayer. We can do this at any time, in any place and under any circumstances.—Ephesians 6:18.
Jehovah God has established a channel through which we are to approach him. Jesus explained: “I am the way . . . No one comes to the Father except through me.”—John 14:6.
Many sincerely believe that if they pray in the name of a “saint,” or even in the name of Jesus’ earthly mother, Mary, this will be effective. But if we really want “Our Father” to answer our prayers, surely we should go through the channel that he has appointed. It is our only means of approach to God. As Jesus said: “If you ask the Father for anything he will give it to you in my name.”—John 16:23.
When Jesus spoke the Model Prayer, did he intend to have his followers recite his exact words every time they prayed to God? Well, he introduced the prayer by saying: “You must pray, then, this way,” not ‘with these words.’ (Matthew 6:9) On another occasion Jesus’ followers said to him: “Lord, teach us how to pray.” In answer, Jesus offered a prayer containing thoughts similar to those in the Model Prayer, but he used different words. He said: “Father, let your name be sanctified. Let your kingdom come. Give us our bread for the day according to the day’s requirement. And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone that is in debt to us; and do not bring us into temptation.” Hence, the Model Prayer was a pattern of the way in which we should pray. It shows us the kind of things for which to pray and the relative importance of these things.—Luke 11:1-4.
In view of this, would God hear prayers that were read out of a prayer book? If you have a child, would you like it if he spoke to you only with words that he read out of a book prepared by someone else? Or would you prefer that he speak from his own heart? Jehovah God certainly prefers that we speak to him from our heart, not from a prayer book. King David said: “Before [God] pour out your heart.” (Psalm 62:8) Moreover, Jesus warned us: “When praying, do not say the same things over and over again.”—Matthew 6:7.
The apostle John told us: “This is the confidence that we have toward [God], that, no matter what it is that we ask according to his will, he hears us.” (1 John 5:14) Here is another requirement for having our prayers heard by God. Our prayers should be in harmony with God’s will. Furthermore, once we pray we should be sure to act in harmony with our prayers.
Cornelius, a first-century Italian army officer “made supplication to God continually.” Jehovah heard his prayers and provided help for him to learn more about the divine will. Do you want God to hear your prayers? Then read the Bible and find out what God’s will is so that your prayers can be in harmony with it. Under God’s direction, Jehovah’s Witnesses will be delighted to give you the same kind of help in this that the apostle Peter gave to Cornelius.—Acts 10:2-5.
“In everything by prayer . . . let your petitions be made known to God.” (Philippians 4:6, 7) Keep on asking—first for the things having to do with God: his name, his kingdom and his will. Then ask for the things having to do with your personal needs and those of your fellowman. Do so in harmony with what Jesus said in the Model Prayer. Conform to God’s requirements for prayer, and may Jehovah listen favorably to your prayers
God loves and accepts us as we are. It’s the reason why his Son, Jesus Christ, didn’t just hang around only the so-called "perfect" and influential people.
Consider this: Jesus chose his apostles amongst the working class folks of the day, the ones that others, the Yuppies of the day, felt were unworthy of respect. He chose fishermen. He showed kindness to people with physical disabilities (back then referred to as the lame.) He spoke to prostitutes and ate with tax collectors. He also conversed with rich people as well. His circle was pretty diverse.
Who says God doesn’t like it when you ask for things in prayer?
In the oldest recorded Christian Prayer aka the Paternoster, the Lord’s Prayer, the Our Father … we ask God for things both physical and emotional: "Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread." "Forgive us our Trespasses" You can find this in the Gospel of Matthew 6:9-13.
While God does encourage us to strive for perfection (and His definition of perfection is not the same as the world’s definition)…and He does tell us not to sin, He also knows that we are but human and are apt to make mistakes….repeatedly! It’s one of the reasons why we ask in the Our Father prayer "Forgive Us Our Sins…as we forgive those who sin against us…and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
On those occasions that we fall into sin, we have the assurance that we can turn to God and ask for forgiveness and he will grant that forgiveness to us if we are truly sorry.
You are right that God is not some karmic Good Humor man waiting to give us goodies all the time and treat us like spoiled petulant children. Only the most babyish of Christians believe that…and that’s the reason why they don’t grow and sometimes eventually backslide. The Bible teaches us that we as people will have trials, storms, misunderstandings, persecutions in life (John 16:33)…but God in His teachings says he’s "overcome the world" and through His teaching, He shows us how to do that as well….and to rise above our circumstances if we really want to do that. It’s not always easy to do, and the results may not always be immediate or obvious, but it is definitely worth striving for.
Okay, this is long, but I do have quotes from the Bible in here.
No, God does not expect us to be perfect. It is impossible for people to be perfect, we can sometimes not even go 1 day without sinning. In Romans 3:9, it states "What shall we conclude then? Are we any better? Not at all! We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin." God knows it is completely impossible for us to not sin, at all, ever. If that were the case, we would not need Jesus to die on the cross for us. In the beginning, you had to be without sin to get into Heaven, because one sin would send you straight to Hell. Jesus then came and though HE was without sin, he died a horrible death so we didn’t have to die an ETERNAL death.
God DOES expect us to pray for forgiveness, just like "God please forgive me, I’m sorry I took your name in vain" or something like that, you know?
We are supposed to ask God for things in prayer. God would do anything for us, He loves us so much that we literally cannot wrap our minds around it. His love is so great and unconditional, He loves every single person on this Earth to no end, no matter what they do.
You will see in 2 Chronicles 20 that Jehoshaphat is faced with a battle and he gets everyone in the whole town to pray to the Lord to help them win the battle. The prayer that Jehoshaphat gives is a pretty strong model of what every prayer should be like. He praises God and proclaims his adoration for Him. He asks for God’s help in this war against the men of Ammon, and then thanks God for it before He even helps them. We should all be like Jehoshaphat in this sense, because he already knows that God is going to help him, he already trusts that God will answer his prayer. And God does help them and they win the battle.
Another example is when Hezekiah is very ill. This is Isaiah 38. Isaiah was a prophet and came to tell Hezekiah that the Lord said he was going to die because he was so sick and couldn’t recover. But Hezekiah prayed to God and sayd "Remember O Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes." At that point the Lord actually told Isaiah to let Hezekiah know that He has added 15 more years to his life.
You should never ever feel guilty asking God for things, because to Him, these things are so small compared to all the huge things he has done for us. He created the Heavens, the Earth, and everything in it in only 6 days. Surely he can answer whatever prayers we have. Just remember to thank God for the things He has already given you and always be confident that He will give you what you ask for, because He certainly can.
God loves you b/c He made you.
however, just b/c He loves you doesn’t mean you will enter into His Kingdom at your death or at His 2nd return (whichever comes 1st). you must obey the Gospel He authored at Calvary (being born-again) if you are to live w/ Him eternally. (if you are interested, email me),
after you are born again, you will want to live holy b/c the LORD expects you to. it is an evolving process, but after being infilled w/ God’s Spirit, it will strengthen you to change your life – a life w/ less & less sin. it also will help you w/ the other problems you are having.
His love is unconditional, but you want to please Him, right?
He does give us free will, but we will have to pay for the choices we make.
He is a loving & just God.
praise the LORD JESUS CHRIST!!
A number of things to help you.
#1 you can come to Jesus anytime don’t wait to clean up your act do it now don’t put it off.
Romans 5:6-9, "For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him."
#2 No we can never be perfect but we are to try and live a holy life and confess our sins to Jesus when we fall short of the mark.
1 John 1:8-10, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."
#3 Jesus wants to have a personal relationship with us so we can came to him with all our needs and cares.
Hebrews 4:14-16, "Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."
#4 Keep praying that the Lord will help you with your battles with fear, depresion and such. And he will he will free you from this.
2 Timothy 1:7, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
2 Corinthians 10:3-5, "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"
Hope this helps God bless
The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell, is by believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you will be in heaven, no matter what! Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus alone to save you! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation (John 6:39-40, 1 John 5:13).
Please pray now: "Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and You rose from the dead. Thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die.
