diabetes……….?
my dad has diabetes 2. He is not fat at all hes in great health. He’s in his 40′s. They say he got it from drinking too heavy. Anyway is it true that stress is expecially bad for diabetics. Less stress makes them live longer

Stress can cause an increase of glucose (sugar) in the body, which is not good for a diabetic because their body can’t do anything with the sugar, creating a hyperglycemic state. I think the most important thing for your father would be to decrease his alcohol intake (alcohol contains a form of sugar called maltose) and make sure he controls his diabetes well with diet. Exercise is also important. Less stress would help as well if he feels he has a lot of stress in his life! Hope this helped answer your question!
You can be thin and have diabetes its quiet common – there are studies now that suggest that obesity doesn’t cause diabetes, its that people who are going to get diabetes2 will get it whether obese or not and that people who WILL get diabetes are more likely to find it difficult to control there weight.
Having a low stress life is certainly better for all people (heart/cholesterol).
stress causes the blood sugar to rise and be out of control. high blood sugar is what causes the other problems with diabetes : loss of vision, loss of limbs…etc…
yes

Diabetes has a strong genetic component. You need not be fat. Yes, stress is bad for diabetics and all living things.
