Does it make sense to get a flu shot here in the USA when I most likely will be staying in Europe for most of the winter? Does the US vaccine have a worldwide coverage?

I was advised that it’s optimal to get the flu shot in October or November. But assuming a person doesn’t follow that advice and procrastinates, how late in the flu season is it still worth it?

I am wondering if you can provide links with info on the safety of getting a flu shot while breast feeding. Also, I always get a bad reaction to flu shots, could the flu spread to my newborn baby easily?

I’m 37 and healthy. I’ve had the regular flu shot and want the swine flu shot when it’s available. But I think I heard somewhere that if you’ve only had one seasonal flu shot, you should wait a couple of months before you get the swine flu shot, just to make sure you don’t have any symptoms or complications from flu vaccination in general. Medical professionals, is this accurate? And if it is, how long should I wait? Many thanks.

I had a cold for 10 days, as of yesterday. I was out of town and went to see an internist that a friend recommended. Doc thought that I may also have a sinus infection. He prescribed anti-biotics and gave me a flu shot at the same time. I told him that I’d heard that you can’t do that, get a flu shot while sick. He said it was not really true, and that I may feel more sick for a couple of days, but both the anti-biotics for my infection and the flu shot for future flu prevention would be effective, nonetheless. Can anyone, with knowledge to that, confirm or deny?

I got a tetanus shot yesterday and just found out I can get a free flu shot tomorrow from my work. I just want to make sure its safe to get a flu shot that soon after getting a tetanus shot. Any help? Thanks.

My work is offering free flu shots.My question is,if I get the flu shot but other family members who live with me don’t,will they get the flu from me because of me getting the shot?

My husband got a flu shot about 2 months ago and his arm is still very sore, especially on days when it is cold.
