Can you have too many probiotics?
I am eating one Dannon Activia yogurt, one other cup of yogurt, and taking one probiotic pill every day. Is that too much? (Please note that I do have a stomach condition…)
Can you get too many good bacteria, and what happens if you do?

I agree completely with the first answer – you can not have too many probiotics. They are a natural part of the human diet and we used to eat many more than we do now. Some people claim that one of the reasons we see so many immune problems and complaints such as IBS etc is because we lack these good bacteria.
My only word of caution would be if you have stomach problems to be careful about eating too much Activia. Some people – not all – have had dreadful problems with it. I don’t know why. The bacteria in it is Bifidobacterium animalis DN-173 010 which is a probiotic but for some reason many consumers have had a bad reaction.
If you’re already eating it without problems then obviously you are one of the ones that it works well for.
No you can never have enough good bacteria. The more the better!! Especially if you have some sort of condition like a yeast infection or stomach condition etc.you need extra. Always take probiotics everyday to maintain a healthy immune system and digestive tract.
