Try Crystal Healing. For headaches/migraines, take three Amethyst crystals and lie down. Place one on each side of your head and one at your crown chakra, all pointing upwards. Rest and relax while your pain fades away!
I will agree with the respondent who recommended a food diary. Some common migraine triggers are hard cheese, wine (probably because of the sulfites, MSG & some chocolates.
I have a friend who gets migraines from a certain coffee creamer and a close friend who went through a spate of them until he found out it was caused by a certain hot chocolate mix sold by Winchell’s Donuts years ago.
Feverfew is a proven preventative, although it does little to relieve a severe migraine once it is set in. You have to either drink the tea or chew the leaves of the plant every day. I’ve been told that the capsules don’t do anything. Something in the leaves is very irritating to the mouth and can cause irritation. Might want to try brushing your teeth or eating some apple to clean the mouth right after using feverfew.
I suggest you keep a log of your activities so that you can see if you have a trigger for your migraines. Keep track of everything you eat and everywhere you go and when you do it. When you get a headache record that too, including how painful it was on a scale of 1 to 10 and when it starts. It’s possible that you’ll be able to discover something that, whenever you are exposed to it, you have a headache. Prevention is the best way to deal with migraines without prescription medicine.
There is not one single herb, supplement, or alternative "cure" that can treat migraines.
