I got a negative test result on an ovulation test strip, I had two lines one was lighter so it said that meant negative. What I want to know is why would a line show up at all, what is it picking up does that mean you already ovulated or your getting closer to it? I know it means negative I just wanted to know what the test is picking up in our urine?

I had a cyst on the back of my earlobe and didnt realize it was a cyst until 2 months had gone by. The infection from the cyst has now caused me to lose hearing in that ear and the infection has spread to my bone. Is the hearing loss going to be permanent? I do not have an ear infection at all. Its just in the cyst and in my bone.
Thank you for your help!

How are you doing now? Did you develop cancer later on? How scared were you when you first learned about your enlarged prostate?

Many blood glucose testing strips require that a code be entered into the meter that is indicated on the test strip container. I have no idea why this is required. Plus, what makes such a tiny piece of plastic worth a strip?!

I bought 20 test strips from Amazon because they were really cheap. I was just wondering if they are reliable. How soon can they detect hcg levels?

My dad is 81 years old with stage 4 prostate cancer. Been diagnosed for 2-3 years now.
Presently in the lymph nodes and not yet in the bones.
PSA is less then 1%. Gleason score is 7.
He has been on hormone treatment for more then a year now and experiences the normal side effects. His doctors seemed to give him no response. They cannot do anything to stop the side effects. My dad is use to it by now but wishes for the side effects to be stopped.
Is this a bad sign of experiencing the side effects?

Three days ago I used an internet test strip, and the faintest line showed up after the time limit. I used another one yesterday, and another very faint line showed up a couple of minutes after the time limit. Now this morning I used another one and a faint line showed up within the time limit. This line was still faint, but you could see it w/out holding it to a light. My question is has anyone ever used these and had the result be correct? How reliable do you think these test strips are?
I should also mention that I dipped one in plain water to see if the faint line would show up, and it didn’t. Not even after the time limit.

I have had kidney problems and chronic kidney disease, which even led to me being hospitalized for it in the past. Shortly after, I developed various inflammations, which can be associated with rheumatoid arthritis. I am barely 23, and neither disease run in my family. Recently, a drug I once used was linked to causing kidney problems, among other things. I’m curious if I can hold them responsible for causing my joint problems as well.

I have been taking ovulation test strips for a few weeks and for the past 2 days there has been one faint line and one bold line (meaning negative according to the packaging). Then today I took one and it was 2 bold lines (I have taken 3 so far today and all have 2 bold lines) which is a positive for ovulation. I am just wondering if it is testing for being ‘fertile’ or the actual day I am ovulating. Thanks

My father has prostate cancer. Does my risk of getting that cancer goes up?
Around what age should I have that check up?

Ok, so I have to go to work in 3 hours, and I would really love to know how to clean out my sinuses. But, I don’t have a netti pot or any medication. Is there a way to do this without either of those?

I woke up this morning with congestion and when I blow my nose nothing comes out. I now have a pretty bad sinus ache and I can’t sleep even though Im really sick and tired. I ve no way of going to a store to buy pills or anything. Does anyone know of an at home remedy for sinus pain?
Thank you so much Tink! I can’t choose a best answer yet but when I can youve got it. Thank you and hopefully good night!

What does that entail and what could cause a fever that high?
I’m guessing this is more common in those who are already very sick ie cancer patients and the very young and very old.
